Why the survey?
The balance between professional and family life is currently disrupted by profound economic, social, demographic, and political changes. Understanding these transformations requires new data to analyze the tensions between the two spheres, their impact on life trajectories, and risk factors based on professional and family characteristics.
The new longitudinal survey, "Families and Employers," aims to measure the evolution of work-life conflicts since the early 2000s. It will help understand how men and women organize their lives and what facilitates or complicates this balance, focusing on the diversity of family and work situations.
The study seeks to assess the effects on careers, family trajectories, well-being, and health. It will also evaluate the role of evolving company policies and public policies.
The results will inform public policymakers, employers, and social protection organizations to develop supportive policies and measures.
